The Crab Street Journal is an online magazine written by land hermit crab owners for land hermit crab owners. Content is submitted through the Add News or through the Forums. If you find the information helpful please support this site by making a donation, buying products in our store and donating prizes. We can only exist with help from our members.

Unfortunately we cannot accept registrations from children under the age of 13 without a written parental permission note to be posted or faxed to us. We must have the note on file before your account will be activated. You are welcome to create a family account where the contact details (Name, location) and email address are only those of the adult who is creating the account. We are required by law to keep a filed parental permission note giving us permission to store the personal information of children under 13 in our forum and site database. If it is found that one of our members is under the age of 13 without said document their account will be de-activated until one is provided.

The Crab Street Journal runs an Adoption Center which screens potential adopters and is involved in placing unwanted hermit crabs with caring owners. If you are interested in becoming an adopter please fill out an application form and add adoptioncenter [at] crabstreetjournal[dot]com to your contacts.


If you would like to list your crab to be adopted please email adoptioncenter [at] crabstreetjournal[dot]com and fill out the form or view the current adopter profiles in your area. If you would like to update your already existing adoption center profile please edit your existing application.
